Budapest city tour (duration 4 to 8 hours)

 

In my private tour we include these stops: Heroes' square, Andrassy avenue, Opera, Basilica (interior), Sinagogue, Parlament, Chain Bridge, Castle District with the Buda Palace, Matthias Church, Fisherman's Bastion, Citadel. The tour finishes in Pest, or somewhere upon request.

In the 8 hour tour we can include a visit in the Parlament as an optional addition. During the visit you can be amazed by the second largest building in the country, also you can see the hungarian Holy Crown, the symbol of our existence. However, booking to the Parlament should be in advance, and not always possible due to Parlamental seatings or events etc.

Please note this has an additional charge and also prior to booking. The Parlament also holds the right to cancel a tour any time at its convenience.

Budapest by night (duration max 3 hours)

 

For the best photos in town, take advantage of our beautiful buildings illuminated. This private tour covers all the buildings mentioned above. For additional charges, a professional photographer could be hired, who would help you to take better pictures. Please ask for the price via email.

Catholic Tour (duration 3 or 4 hours)

 

Get to know 1000 years of Catholicism in Hungary, visit the Basilica and the Matthias Church (optional) inside, learn traditions and history in terms of religion.

Jewish tour (duration 3 hours)

 

We take a walk in Budapest's jewish district, including the second largest Sinagogue in the world, the Tree of Life. Remembering the Holocaust and all those who risked their lives in saving people.

 

Folklor night, with dinner, folklor dance and music ( duration 3 or 4 hours)

 

Enjoy a truly hungarian meal in a tipical hungarian restaurant, the Csárda. While gypsies play music, folklor dance takes place in real hungarian style.

 

Excursions in Hungary

 

Szentendre- Artistic town (duration 4 hours)

 

Szentendre is the capital of Art in Hungary besides being a cute, mediterranean town. Enoy a little walk in the town, learn about the history, why and when became a truly exeptional village. Shopping is fun here too, young artist work at acceptable prices, or traditional ebroidery from professionals, porcelain, wine etc.

Danube Bend Tour- Esztergom, Visegrad, Szentendre (duration 8 hours)

 

Visit the Basilica in Esztergom, enjoy the breathtaking view in Visegrad, visit the medieval fort (optional), finally finish in Szentendre, where you can see the town, do some shopping before returning to Budapest.

 

Puszta Tour (duration 6 hours)

 

The tipical puszta is on the east side of the country, on the Great Plain. Enjoy a show with horses, and donkeys led by a hungarian horseman called Csikós, see the hungarian bred animals like the magnificent grey cattle, the mangalica pig, dogs like the puli. See the beautiful horses, take a ride on a hungarian carriage and enjoy lunch with gypsy music.

 

Sissy palace tour (duration 4 hours)

 

A masterpiece of baroque, the recently renovated Godollo castle. Find furniture, clothes, letters, other personal items, anything which is related to Sissy, the beautiful wife of Franz Joseph.

 

Daytrip to Vienna (duration 9 hours)

 

Include Vienna in your stay in Budapest by going there on a daytrip. It is less than 3 hours away, in a comfortable car or minivan, visit the capital of Austria and the Habsburgs. Enjoy the Shönbrunn Palace, Stephens Cathedral, Prater, Opera etc. Return to Budapest in the evening.
